ExpressionEngine Control Panel Theme
I’ve had a few requests for a new ExpressionEngine control panel theme that matched the look of the new site a bit better… so I came up with this. Enjoy.

Hey, is it just me or is EE 1.5.2 stubbornly not picking up the new theme? I’ve forced refreshed in Firefox and Safari, but nothing moves.

Do you mean that it’s showing up in the control panel selector, but the styling isn’t changing? Are you updating it in the “My Account” section or in the “Admin” section? You need to make the change in “My Account.”

I’m a freaking geek – I just had a big endorphin rush looking at a control panel theme for a CMS. Ah, well, it takes all kinds. I’m one of those who are chanting “No More Purple!”

I am new to EE, and loving it so far, but I cannot seem to get this theme working. :(
What am I doing wrong? I uploaded it into the cp_themes folder, it shows up in the theme selector in My Account, but it is not working for me. Do I need to have more than the Core version to get it running?

I tried changing in the Admin Area (System Preferences > Control Panel Settings) to 31three. Nothing happened. So I went to My Account, and changed it there also. This is what I see.
I am suspecting it is something that I did incorrectly when uploading the files, but I think I placed in in the correct place.
What do you think it could be? It is not on a Windows server either.
@Karls: upload the 31three folder to the themes folder at the root of your site ie – themes/cp-themes/31three/
Then login to your CP and under ADMIN tab go to >System Preferences >Control Panel Settings and there you will find a drop down menu where you can choose/switch to the 31 flavour and then hit UPDATE… and voila! … you will be one happy fella. cheers
The weird thing is, that’s what I did (screenshot).
Ok, I figured out why it did not work before. CSS is case-sensitive and for some reason, the folder I uploaded before was named ‘31three’ instead of ‘31Three’. I am not sure how it got renamed (I probably did – not sure why), but it now works like a charm. Thanks giovanni and Jesse!!
